While retail parks have been the most buoyant UK retail destination types, the survival of many is still in doubt and now the Ravenside site in Edmonton is to be converted after its acquisition by Prologis. It’s worth more to the owner as a distribution hub for all those e-tailers that need vast warehouses to service their webstores. Pureplays like Amazon, Argos, Boohoo and Asos are snapping up warehouse space but so are physical retailers as they expand their online operations.
